SMAC Summer Fly-In 26th - 27th June 2010 at Leisure Lakes

Southport MAC will be hosting a summer fly-in this year on Saturday and Sunday the 26^th and 27^th of June 2010.

It is a requirement that you are able to prove that you have achieved a minimum of 'A' Certificate flying standard to fly at this event.  In addition you will need to provide evidence of insurance cover via either BMFA or the LMA.

Traplet Scale Day 4^th July 2010 at Leisure Lakes

Southport MAC is proud to host a Traplet Scale Day on behalf of Phil Kent, on Sunday the 4^th of July 2010 at its Leisure Lakes Flying Site (directions available on the Outdoor Flying page of this web site).  This will be a relaxed scale flying day competition, flying only, with no static judging.  Come along for an excellent introduction to scale competition with the relaxed atmosphere of a club environment!  Entry is free, and refreshments will be available.

If you have a scale/semi-scale model then come and fly!

Booking-In - 0900 to 0930 (allowance for those having to travel long distances)

Pilot Briefing - 0945

Flying Starts - 1030 (or sooner if judges and pilots ready)

The 2009 SMAC annual Summer Model Air Show was held on Saturday and Sunday the 4^th and 5^th of July 2009.

SMAC's 2008 June Summer Model Air Show was cancelled due to the waterlogged condition of the beach.

Each year, SMAC supports the full-sized Southport Air Shows.
