Absolute beginners

If you've already got your own model or have flown before

If you already have your own model(s) and/or simply want to join the Club as soon as possible, please contact Chris Moulton, our Membership Secretary (see the Contacts page).

Chris will send you an application form, or you can download a copy using the link below.  Please return the completed form to Chris, and enclose the appropriate fee in the form of a cheque, payable to Southport Model Aero Club.  Chris will then send you a welcome pack.  If you are already a member of the BMFA please provide proof of your membership number.

Fees

All fees for existing Club Members must be paid by the 31^st of January 2010.  If the appropriate fees are not paid by this time, membership will lapse.

Instruction

By prior arrangement, the following Club Members will provide flying instruction:  Mike Eccles, Ken Ritchie,  Norman Quirk and Graham Green.  The majority of Club Members currently fly throttle right.  Some instructors can fly throttle left or right.  With some buddy box setups it is possible for the trainee and instructor to have the throttle on different sides.  For more details regarding transmitter Modes, see the basic information page here.

There is no fee for flying instruction.
