Model types

For fixed wing aircraft GWS type flexible propellers must be used, with a maximum of 2 cell LiPo batteries. Brushed motors can be up to a maximum of 280 size.  Brushless motors cannot be bigger than a CD-ROM type.

Slow fly and scale models are especially welcome. Aerobatic type models are also welcome but must be smaller than 'shock flyers' ('shockies'), which are not permitted.

For rotary winged models, only Palm Z and the twin-rotor (e.g. Bell Twister) type helicopters will be allowed.

Free flight models are also welcome.

The Rules

A peg board will be in use and must be adhered to. The peg must be returned to the board as soon as your flight has finished.

Depending upon numbers, time slots might be allocated for the different types of aircraft.

Proof of insurance (such as current BMFA membership) must be shown to the organiser on entry before being allowed to fly.

The organiser and safety officer of the day will decide whether or not a model is acceptable and their decision is final.

Check with the organiser to confirm the next meeting date if a session is missed since there may be amendments due to other venue users.
