This thing has vibes of its old version but functions wildly different from before. It’s been a fairly popular inclusion up to this point as a solid two-spell caster with some decent (but random) buffs for free in the form of its Peal of Doom. It now only casts one spell, but the buffs have been shuffled around substantially. The +1 to casting bonus or rolling a 7 is now built into the model itself at all times. The downside is it only grants it to itself, the upside is it scales, and at full health it grants +2 to casting to itself. Additionally, you can make it a Priest for the turn instead, if that suits you, and get +1 to chanting at full health.

power vs chaos and power vs skaven are generally speaking superior over other types of power vs [..] since they each cover by far the most enemys and are most versatile (i believe they also work vs lords, that power vs monsters does NOT) As there is no colour in the Citadel paint range that is a perfect match for Corax White, I prepared a mix of Ceramite White, Mechanicum Standard Grey and Formula P3 Bastion Grey (I started with a ratio of about 12:1:1 and then added more paint until I got a good match for Corax White; Bastion Grey can be replaced with Stormvermin Fur). I recommend mixing a whole pot of this, as you will need this mix quite a lot. Once I was happy with the mix, I used my Corax White equivalent to paint over any spots that the primer didn’t reach. [Update 2020: Games Workshop released a Corax White base paint by now, just use this instead]i dont really want to adress power vs berserker since imo it only could be benefitial on weapons like blunderbuss to specifically take care of zealots and monks. Charge Defence Against Large Foes: When standing and bracing against a charge of large enemies (such as cavalry or monsters) this unit will negate the enemy's charge bonus. The only reason to use Power verse Armor is to help against Stormvermin or Rothelms. In both cases using Power verse Race will apply to what you want and a bunch of other stuff. Vrrmik - The former Albino Stormvermin ruler of Clan Mors and Grand Supreme Warlord of all Skavendom.

In battle, Mors has proven to be unrelenting, brutal, and merciless in the extreme. Forces that are put to field against the Clan are often wiped out to the last lowly Clanrat. Clans that have faced Mors’ troops in the past suffered from poor morale, largely due to the merciless reputation of their foes. By comparison, units that surrender straight away are shown quarter and isolated until their clan has been soundly defeated, at which time they are incorporated into the ranks of Mors’ Clanrat slaves. [1a] The Albino Stormvermin are one of the greatest and most disciplined military forces within the Under-Empire, taken from birth due to their albino colouration and trained by the Council of Thirteen to be near-incorruptible and loyal bodyguards. They are some of the best warriors the Council of Thirteen has to offer, and serve as a symbol of power and prestige to those that have them as their bodyguards, for it means that the Skaven holds the favour of the council. [1a]It took a fierce Skaven to survive the underground slaughterways of the City of Pillars. To join the most elite claw-units of all Clan Mors, a Skaven had to possess extraordinary strength, agility and martial prowess. Queek Headtaker personally took part in the selection and training of his elite Red Guard Stormvermin. He kept ten claws of these troops, each a hundred strong, as his personal force of bodyguards. They were given the best arms, armour and feeding right of all the troops under his command. In battle, the Red Guard serve dutifully well as Queek's honour guard, or as the spiked fist of his assault force. [1a] Infamous Red Guard Members [ ] reason: the only armored units in this game are stormvermin, stormvermin captain, shielded stormvermin, ratlin' gunner and flamethrower rat (actually while writing this it came to my mind that stormfiend has armored type arms (?), not 100% sure tho)

If you’re sniffing out a new Warhammer Age of Sigmar army, then the Skaven might be the perfect fit for you. Read on, and you’ll learn all about their ratty history, who the Skaven are, and how they play in the current edition of the game. Alternatively, if you’re already creeped out, try our overall guide to Age of Sigmar armies instead. The fade on the ghostly areas was created with an airbrush. I built up the effect with several thin coats of pure Coelia Greenshade, concentrating on the lower parts of the ghostly robes. If you don’t have an airbrush, I recommend several glazes of Incubi Darkness thinned down heavily with water. Glazing with shades can often leave a blotchy finish. You could also skip this stage to speed up the process. Each Albino Stormvermin is as large as any Skaven Warlord, but possesses a near-alien level of obedience and loyalty to those they protect. One of their most notable characteristics is Albino Stormvermin are all mute, perhaps as a way to ensure that should one of their numbers defect, they will not be able to compromise the secrets of the Council of Thirteen. [1a] The progression from Stormvermin to Fangleader to Chieftain to Warlord is common, although not as traditional as betrayal. Stormvermin are linked to a clan leader, serving as his bodyguard and the enforcers of his will. Opposition to a leader is regularly met with butchery and an armoured cadre of Stormvermin is ideal to do such work. To ensure their strong-arm regiments remain loyal, cunning leaders lavish attention, praise and, most importantly, gifts upon "their" Stormvermin. Food, Skavenslaves (often the same thing) and breeding rights are popular motivators. Particular ferocity, anticipating treachery, or eating the existing Fangleader are the standard ways of rising from the Stormvermin ranks. Once established, a Fangleader that can keep his leader safe while savagely carrying out commands can virtually name his price. [1] Crit Chance will help you trigger most of the common melee and ranged weapon traits (Swift Slaying, Resourceful, Scrounger, etc) in addition to the bursts of extra damage the crits provide.

The weak spot of Stormvermin is their head: head-shots with both ranged and melee is the best (and sometimes only) way to take them out. However, if your weapon has the Armour Piercing characteristic, body shots also work well. http://www.acrylicosvallejo.com/en_US/media/e588d28183cec31ffd6dcee6d3718fc3.cms/equivalencias-rev05.pdf i want to point out that preferences from above are written based on my personal opinion and experiences and also just generally speaking. ofc there are weapons that profit off of certain power vs [...] more because it might reduce hits required from 3 to 2 or something, also it depends on maps and deeds (and personal playstyle). Like their Halberd-wielding variant, Stormvermin with shields are quite costly and are not worth the price until the very late game of a campaign. However, they are suitable line infantry once cost becomes irrelevant and will be able to hold their own in combat much better than Clanrats. Keep them away from large enemy, as they are no match for enemies aside from other infantry. They do come in 160 model units, which helps mitigate their high cost and mediocre stats (for elite infantry). However, an even deadlier and unique variety of Stormvermin exists. Utilised by the Council of Thirteen as their personal bodyguards, these white-furred elites are known as Albino Stormvermin, and are counted among the Council's greatest assets.

There are two core sets of models that any prospective Skaven army collector should look at purchasing, and purchasing in numbers. These are Clanrats and Stormvermin. Clanrats are your grunt, your generic trooper. They’re there to act in three ways: as a meat shield for your more valuable units and heroes, to deny areas of the board to your opponent, and to deal damage if enough of them survive to reach the enemy. I built up the flame effect with a thinned coat of VGC Livery Green [ Moot Green with a bit of white] and then Scorpy Green [ Moot Green], leaving the recesses white.
